ARTHIST 104 views objects from the UWM Art Collection

Visiting Assistant Professor Matt Rarey brought objects from the UWM Art Collection into Mitchell Hall 195 to show his students in ARTHIST 104: African, New World and Oceanic and Art and Architecture. Matt Rarey and his students looked at three Oceanic pieces gifted by Gene and Inez Gilbert in 2011: a Kina Shell necklace from Papua New Guinea, a Mwai (Mai) Mask from Middle Sepik River from Papua New Guinea, and an Asmat Sheild from Irian Jaya​.
